Your privacy is of the utmost importance to VTS Transport & Logistics. We therefore comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that we process personal data carefully, securely and transparently. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we process via our website www.vts.nl/en, for what purposes we do so, on what legal basis, how long we retain data and what rights you have. Disclosure to other companies or organisations

We will only disclose your personal data to other companies or organisations if this is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy statement, if you have given your consent, or if we are legally obliged to do so. Examples include providers of analytics software, newsletter systems, hosting providers or other service providers who support us in operating our website and communications.

Where necessary, we enter into a data processing agreement with parties that process personal data on our behalf. In this agreement, we set out, amongst other things, which data they are permitted to process, for what purpose, which security measures apply, and that they may not use the data for our own purposes.

Contact form, white paper form and newsletter

On our website, we use contact forms, white paper forms and any enquiry forms so that you can ask us questions or request information. To this end, we process, for example, your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, address details and the content of your message. We process this data in order to deal with your enquiry or request. The legal basis for this is the fulfilment of your request or, where applicable, your consent. We retain this information until we are certain that your enquiry or request has been dealt with, and for a further maximum of six months thereafter, so that we can properly answer any follow-up enquiries.

You can subscribe to our newsletter. It contains news, tips and information about our products and services. You can unsubscribe at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. Your email address will only be added to the subscriber list with your consent. This data will be retained until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small files that allow information to be stored on or retrieved from your device. We use functional cookies to ensure the website works properly. For analytical or marketing cookies that are not strictly necessary, we ask for your consent in advance. These cookies will only be set once you have given your consent. Statistics and Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to gain insights into the use of our website and to improve it. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and have not permitted Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. The retention period for Google Analytics data is a maximum of 14 months, unless we specify a shorter period in our settings.

When using Google Analytics or similar services, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in the United States. If this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are put in place, such as the use of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally permissible measures.

Security

The security of personal data is of the utmost importance to us. To protect your privacy, we take the following measures:

Access to personal data is protected by a username and password or by a username and login token.
We implement physical security measures, such as locks and access controls, for systems and premises where personal data is processed or stored.
We use secure connections (SSL/TLS), which protect the information exchanged between you and our website when you enter personal data.

Automated decision-making
