VTS pharma warehousing

Quality

In pharmaceutical logistics, quality is not merely a prerequisite, but an absolute necessity. As a 100% pharmaceutical specialist, our organisation is fully organised in accordance with GDP guidelines and relevant GMP principles, with a focus on compliance, control and product safety.

At VTS, quality goes beyond compliance: it is the foundation of everything we do. Among other things, this means:

  • Full compliance with GDP, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, supplemented by relevant GMP principles
  • Validated storage and transport solutions with continuous temperature monitoring
  • A dedicated quality department in both the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Full traceability and comprehensive documentation throughout the entire logistics chain
  • Transparent communication and proactive deviation management through structured CAPA processes

As VTS operates its own warehouses, its own fleet of vehicles and employs its own staff, we retain full control over quality, capacity and planning. This enables us to make rapid adjustments where necessary and ensures that processes remain stable, even in the face of growth or changing customer needs.

Patient safety and product quality come first

At VTS, quality begins with the realisation that our work directly contributes to the safety and health of the end patient. Our processes are designed to manage risks, identify deviations early and proactively, and ensure continuous improvement. As we work exclusively for the pharmaceutical sector, our people, resources and working methods are fully aligned with the high standards demanded by this market. This results in consistent delivery reliability and demonstrable compliance with legislation and regulations.

An integrated quality system

VTS has an integrated quality system that complies with international standards and guidelines, including GDP (human and veterinary), ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and relevant aspects of GMP. This system is managed by our quality department in the Netherlands and Belgium. They ensure supervision, documentation and continuous improvement across all processes.
Audits, non-conformance management, change control, training and KPI monitoring are systematically embedded, ensuring that quality is not a one-off exercise but an ongoing process.

The Quality department operates independently of the operational departments within VTS and acts as an objective overseer of all processes. This independent position ensures that decisions are always made with compliance, risk management and patient safety in mind. For our customers, this means reliable and transparent quality assurance at every stage of the logistics chain.

Quality at VTS: Josine Hendriks

Quality is the guiding principle behind everything we do. Not only to comply with GDP and GMP requirements, but to manage risks systematically and to continuously improve. For us, quality is more than just meeting the standard; our ambition is to exceed it. By embedding quality in our systems, processes and people, we are building a reliable logistics chain for both the present and the future.

Transparency and continuous improvement

We understand that our customers rely on our processes to ensure the safety and availability of their products. That is why we offer full traceability, audit-ready processes and transparent communication in the event of any deviations.

Furthermore, we actively invest in a strong quality culture across all levels of the organisation. Staff receive ongoing training and are involved in improvement initiatives, whilst data analysis and trend monitoring help to systematically optimise processes.

Our ambition is not merely to be compliant, but to exceed the standard. In this way, we remain a reliable, proactive and forward-looking partner for critical and sensitive pharmaceutical logistics.
