In our new warehouse, with a 15,000 m² surface area, we are able to store (pharmaceutical) goods in separate temperature zones. The quality of these products is guaranteed by 100% temperature control. In this article we explain exactly what this entails.
Separate temperature zones
In our state-of-the-art warehouse we are able to store up to 26,000 pallets in separate temperature zones. Our warehouse is equipped with:
– A validated cold store at temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. The cold store has a 1,500 m² surface area and the set point is +5 degrees Celsius.
– A validated temperature zone at freezer temperatures (-40 to -20 degrees)
– A validated ambient warehouse at temperatures of 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. This zone has a set point of 20 degrees Celsius.
Temperature-controlled storage
The temperature is monitored meticulously in each temperature zone. When the temperature threatens to fall outside the desired range, an alarm notification is generated automatically from there. These notifications are acted upon 24/7, as a result of which the product safety is absolutely guaranteed. The sensors are calibrated each year in order to ensure reliability.
Optimum systems and procedures in order to prevent temperature deviations.
Besides the separate temperature zones in our warehouse, the cross-docking zones and our refrigerated trailers are temperature-controlled and validated. That way, we can guarantee that storage and distribution at VTS can take place within the established temperature range. This way we ensure safe transport and storage without compromising quality regarding temperature and safety requirements.
