VTS is constantly looking for opportunities to minimize its impact on the environment. Our participation in the Lean & Green program contributes to this goal. Lean & Green is an important CO2 reduction program for companies within the logistics service industry. VTS strives for sustainable and future-oriented enterprise.
VTS and Lean & Green
In March 2021, VTS became a participant in the Lean & Green program. Now, two years later, we receive our third Lean & Green Star. We successfully demonstrated that we reduced our CO2 emissions with 40% in the period 2016-2021. As a result, we have received our third Lean & Green Star.
The reduction in CO2 was achieved by:
- Efficient operations and planning
- Fuel-saving measures
- Fleet modernization (including electric trucks and trailers)
- Commissioning new premises (entirely gas-free and climate neutral)
- Deployment of LHVs
The future:
The upcoming years, VTS will continue to work on sustainability, with the goal of achieving a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. There are still major steps to be taken to achieve this, with the full electrification of the last mile fleet becoming a big challenge.
