On Friday May 8, we officially opened our newest warehouse and cross-dock: VTS 6. With this expansion, we are taking an important step in our continued growth and the future of pharma logistics.
The new facility is a key link in our logistics network and supports the storage and distribution of medicines across Europe. By doing so, we strengthen our position as a specialist in temperature-controlled logistics within the pharma and healthcare sector.
State-of-the-art pharma warehouse and cross-dock
Besides, we are taking the next step in sustainability. The warehouse has been built gas-free and energy-efficient, in line with our ambition to grow responsibly.
A next step in our growth
With VTS 6, we expand both our capacity and efficiency, while further strengthening our logistics network. The new facility not only serves as a storage location, but also as a cross-dock where shipments from domestic and international origins come together. From Boxmeer, daily deliveries are managed, ranging from international transport to last-mile distribution to pharmacies, hospitals, and veterinarians in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Festive opening weekend
The opening of VTS 6 was celebrated during a special opening weekend for employees, customers, and suppliers. During the weekend, visitors were taken along in our vision for the future under the theme “the future of pharma logistics.” In addition, there was time to reflect on this milestone together. On Saturday, we celebrated with a festive evening for all colleagues, followed by a family day on Sunday, where family members had the opportunity to take a look inside the new warehouse.

The opening of VTS 6 aligns with the strategic direction of VTS: Care. Connect. Deliver. This vision emphasizes the importance of reliability, collaboration, and innovation in a sector where every shipment can be life-critical. With VTS 6, we are not only investing in capacity and technology, but also in the future of pharma logistics. Automation, robotics, and AI play a central role in the new facility. The warehouse uses robotics for internal transport and smart conveyor systems for efficient flows. In addition, artificial intelligence is used for the processing and routing of shipments. These technologies ensure greater speed, accuracy, and flexibility in our operations.
